Lady Ravens Battle on Road, Set up Ranked Showdown

Different players have stepped up at different times for Tony Turner this season, and that trend continued in a hard-fought road win over Cowley.

The game was back and forth the whole way, tied after the first quarter, the Ravens up seven at half, and Cowley up one after the third quarter. But the veteran Ravens made enough plays late, and escaped with a 66-60 win over the Tigers.

Tetona Woods-Blackowl was the star of the show, posting 18 points with eight rebounds and three assists, with 10 points in the first quarter. Head coach Tony Turner says she was dialed in all afternoon.

Ivy Fox had 13 points, and freshman Karys Washington made nine clutch free throws in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Ravens sit at 8-1 on the season, and are unbeaten thus far in conference play. Their toughest test comes to Nellis Hall on Wednesday, with the unbeaten #6 Butler Grizzlies and star forward Freddie Wallace coming to town.

Turner says the team is already preparing for Butler.

The men fell to Cowley 81-62 in Game 2 of the doubleheader.
