Chiefs Struggle in Second Half, Lose Super Bowl Rematch

The Chiefs second half offense has officially become an issue, being held scoreless after half for the third straight game in a 21-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kansas City jumped out to a 17-7 lead with a pair of touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce and Justin Watson. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts scored a pair of second half rushing touchdowns to propel the Eagles to a redemption victory, after dropping the Super Bowl to the Chiefs in February.

The Chiefs are averaging just 5.3 points in the second half this season, worst in the NFL. Kansas City had an opportunity to take the lead late, but wide receiver Marques Valdez-Scantling dropped the deep ball.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes says the team needs to make second half adjustments.

Kansas City is 7-3 on the season, and travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders on Sunday.
