It was a successful first Saturday for the two-quarterback system in Manhattan.

 

Will Howard and Avery Johnson split snaps, and both played well, in a Kansas State 41-3 rout over TCU. The game was a rematch of the 2022 Big 12 Championship.

 

Howard completed 10 of 16 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns, including a 61-yard toss to running back DJ Giddens.

 

The Wildcats finished the day with 587 yards of offense, the most allowed by the Horned Frogs in any game this season.

 

Kansas State is 5-2 on the season, and will host the Houston Cougars on Saturday.
