Andale Falls in OT, Ends Nation's Longest Win Streak

The Andale Indians drop their first game since the 2018 state playoffs, ending the nation's longest winning streak in high school football.

Andale fell to the Cheney Cardinals 36-30 in overtime, putting a halt to a 57 game win streak for the program. The last loss prior to Friday was against Pratt in the 2018 3A state semifinals.

Over the past four undefeated seasons, the Indians won by an average of 45 points per game, and had scored at least 70 points in four of their first five games in the 2023 season.

The Cardinals improve to 7-0 and this could be a matchup seen again in the 3A state playoffs. The nation's longest winning streak now belongs to John Milledge Academy in Georgia, who have won 56 straight games dating back to 2019.
