The 2023-24 edition of the Coffeyville Community College Lady Ravens took the court in game action for the first time last weekend.

 

CCC played a pair of scrimmages against Conners College and Seminole State during the day-long Jamboree event the school hosts each year at Nellis Hall.

 

Red Raven coach Tony Turner says his team got off to a slow start, but came alive later in the game.

 

Coffeyville has four returners in the starting lineup, but the bench is mostly inexperienced in game action. Turner says they’ll continue to evaluate the bench unit.

 

The Ravens still have two weeks of scrimmages remaining this month, including this weekend in Dallas. Turner says he’s looking for better post play from his team.

 

The Lady Ravens open the regular season on November 1st against Labette County at Nellis Hall.
