Mahomes Speaks on New Contract

Fresh off of agreeing to a restructured contract that pays the most money ever in a four year span, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes spoke to the media for the first time.

Mahomes and the Chiefs agreed to the deal earlier this week, which pays Mahomes $210.6 million before 2026. He says he's thankful to be a part of the Chiefs family for years to come.

Throughout his career, Mahomes has made it known that he values winning over anything else. He says that this new deal allows him to get paid his worth, but also keeps the door open to keep talented players in Kansas City.

The NFL salary cap is increasing annually, with quarterbacks being paid more than ever before. Mahomes says he knows it's his responsibility to make sure the progress continues for the value of QBs.

Mahomes and the Chiefs battle the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
