Jayhawks Basketball Player Suspended from Program

A Kansas basketball transfer from this offseason has been suspended from the program following a rape allegation.

Arterio Morris transferred to KU in the spring after spending his freshman season at the University of Texas. Morris was charged with a misdemeanor assualt charge on a female while at Texas last year.

CBS Sports Insider Gary Parrish says there are still details to learn about this situation.

Morris is a former five-star prospect that was expected to see solid playing time for the Jayhawks this season. Parrish says losing Morris is difficult, but not significant to the success of KU this season.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
