Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes Agree to Restructured Contract

The reigning Super Bowl MVP has agreed to a restructured contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are in agreement on the terms of the updated deal, which pays Mahomes $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, the most money ever given out in a four year period in the NFL.

The salary for Mahomes for each of the next four seasons is also fully guaranteed. The Chiefs and Mahomes' camp plan to continue working on the contract after the season.

Mahomes will now make $52.5 million annually, second in the NFL behind Cincinnati's Joe Burrow, who makes $55 million a year.

Mahomes is a two-time MVP, two-time Super Bowl champion, and one of the most talented signal callers professional football has ever seen. Mahomes just turned 28 yesterday, and is under contract through the 2031 season.
