Caney Twists Eureka In Homecoming Victory

 

 The Caney Valley Bullpups opened up the passing game in a 58-16 Homecoming victory over the Eureka Tornoadoes.

 Jackson Griffin began his evening by becoming Homecoming King (Alena Gilliland won Homecoming Queen), then became the gridiron King with three rushing touchdowns in the first half. Running back Garrett Davidson added a rushing touchdown for the Bullpups, who led 45-0 at the half, and 52-8 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

 The passing attack for the Bullpups was on display in the 2nd half. Quarterback Garrett Watson threw three touchdown passes; all three to tight end Ben Matthews, and all three were receptions of over 20 yards.

 Running back Kalim Mouer added rushing touchdowns of 38 and 85 yards for Eureka, who fall to 1-2 on the season. They'll travel to Osage City next Friday.

 Caney improves to 2-1 on the season. They'll travel to Cherryvale to take on the Chargers in Week 4 action Friday.
