The Independence Bulldogs will kick off the 2023 season next week with a new head coach.

 

Kendall Fiscus takes over the IHS football program, and will look to take a step forward following a tough 1-8 season in 2022.

 

Fiscus says a key part of the 2023 team is a handful of returning starters.

 

The Bulldogs played close games down the stretch, but were unable to win close conference battles. Fiscus says the team will need mental toughness in 2023.

 

Independence features an intriguing group of wide receivers and running backs that will attempt to elevate the offense. Fiscus says the 2023 Bulldogs will be a tough group.

 

The Independence Bulldogs open the 2023 season on September 1st against Bishop Ward.
