Coffeyville Community College softball is looking for the next group of athletes to elevate the program to new heights.

 

Following an inaugural season under head coach Meredith Smith and assistant coach Mike Neal, the Red Ravens look to learn from the highs and lows of 2023 and look towards a brighter future.

 

Despite it being the first recruiting class at a new school, Neal says the process stays the same as any other year.

 

A common debate with the modernization of softball is evaluating pitchers based on velocity versus pitch mix. Smith says they prefer to have both types on their roster.

 

One of the goals of the program is to become more athletic on the field. Neal says the next step is to continue building on the progress that has already been made.
