Ragans Continues to Dominate in Rise to Royal Stardom

A new pitcher has grabbed the attention of baseball fans in Kansas City, dominating for his third consecutive start.

Left-handed pitcher Cole Ragans was dominant in Boston against a tough Red Sox lineup, spinning 6.2 innings and striking out a career high 11 batters. Ragans only allowed a single earned run and only issued one walk as well.

Locked on Royals Host Jack Johnson says Ragans has overcome serious injury to reach this point.

In his three starts since joining the Royals, Ragans has allowed just two earned runs in 17.2 innings, with 22 strikeouts. He has induced swing and miss on all five of his pitches.

Johnson says Ragans may be a future ace at this pace.

Ragans was one of two players acquired from the Texas Rangers last month in exchange for Aroldis Chapman.
