Chiefs Defensive End Suspended Six Games

One of the newest members of the Chiefs defense is facing a six game suspension.

Defensive end Charles Omenihu has been issued a six game ban for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Omenihu was arrested in January on suspicion of domestic violence while playing for the San Francisco 49ers.

He will be unable to join the active roster until October 13th, which will force him to miss games against the Lions, Jets, Bears, Jaguars, Vikings, and Broncos.

Omenihu will be eligible to participate in practice, as well as take the field for the team's three preseason games. He signed a two year deal worth $16 million with Kansas City in March, after spending two and a half seasons in Houston, and the past year and a half in San Francisco.
