Chiefs First Round Pick Adjusting to Camp

Kansas City Chiefs first round pick and former Kansas State star Felix Anudike-Uzomah is back at training camp and ready to go following offseason surgery.

The defensive end had surgery to repair a thumb injury he suffered at the end of the college football season, and has only recently begun participating fully in practice.

He says that the slow start has definitely impacted him on the field.

Anudike-Uzomah was graded as one of the best defensive ends in America during his career at KSU, and is one of the best Wildcat defenders in school history, both statistically and in accolades.

While also being named to two All-Big 12 teams and winning the 2022 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, he says the NFL is a different animal and he's still learning all the time.

Chiefs and Wildcats fans alike can watch Felix on the field for the first time in the preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints on August 13th.
