Bronny James, incoming University of Southern California freshman basketball player, and oldest son of NBA legend LeBron James, has suffered a cardiac arrest during a USC practice.

 

James collapsed on the court yesterday during a workout, and was taken to the hospital where he is now in stable condition.

 

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith says that all thoughts of basketball go out the door with something like this.

 

The James family asks for respect and privacy at this time, and will continue to provide updates as they become available. They also wish to send thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their efforts.

 

Bronny James was a McDonald's All-American during his senior season at Sierra Canyon High School, and was a consensus four-star recruit out of high school.
