Chiefs Wide Receiver Injured at Practice

A Chiefs wide receiver has been injured to start training camp, and will miss the next few weeks.

Wide receiver Kadarius Toney re-aggravated a knee injury on Sunday that he had a minor procedure on during the offseason. Toney is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Toney was a first round pick by the New York Giants in 2021, and was traded to the Chiefs during last season, in exchange for a pair of draft picks. He was a crucial piece of the Super Bowl win, catching a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, as well as returning a punt 65 yards to set up another late touchdown.

Toney has dealt with injuries frequently during his career. He has missed six games in his rookie season, and missed eight games last year due to numerous health issues.
