Nado RB Transferring to Indy

A Field Kindley High School football player is transferring to a cross-county rival for his junior season.

Running Back and Defensive End Lamarcus Allen is transferring to Independence High School. As a sophomore, Allen stepped up for the Nado filling in due to multiple injuries to the running back position. Allen ran for 888 yards and 8 touchdowns including a 44 carry, 204 yard and three touchdown game against Labette County High School. On defense, he recorded 40 tackles with two tackles for loss. The transfer was confirmed via social media. In a tweet, Allen says he hopes for the best for his Nado family and will miss the team. While the full reason for the transfer is unknown, it appears it was something out of Allen's control.

The Nado, who were deep at the running back position last year, will miss Allen's production. The team does return Junior Running Back Aaron Tunstall, who only played in two games last season due to a broken leg suffered against Winfield. Expectations are high for FKHS after a strong season last year finishing second in the SEK and returning several starters from last year's team.
