Jerome Tang Nearing Extension with Wildcats

Kansas State and head men's basketball coach Jerome Tang are nearing a multiple year contract extension, per mutliple sources.

Official terms of the deal are not known at this time. There is no official timetable for the announcement of the extension, although with similar news in the past, it can be expected to be revealed within the next couple days.

Tang led the Wildcats to a 26-10 record and Elite Eight appearance in his first season in Manhattan. He served as Scott Drew's lead assistant at Baylor for 15 years, before taking his first Division 1 head coaching job at Kansas State.

Tang was named College Hoops Today National Coach of the Year, as well as the Naismith Coach of the Year. Kansas State is once again projected to be a top 8 seed in this year's NCAA Tournament.
