Kansas State is inching closer to taking the field and defending their Big 12 Championship, and their senior quarterback will be the x-factor in repeating that success.

 

Will Howard emerged in Manhattan following an injury to preseason starter Adrian Martinez during the season. Howard impressed enough to be considered one of the best signal callers in the conference entering 2023.

 

Although he had to wait three years for his opportunity at Kansas State, Howard says he never once thought about transferring.

 

With the Wildcats now entering conversations for the College Football Playoff contenders, the spotlight has fallen on Howard. He says he is thankful for the opportunity he's been given.

 

A Big 12 Championship was an impressive feat, but the Wildcats have their eyes set on even more. Howard says the standards are higher and the bar is raised for Wildcat football.

 

Kansas State will begin their title defense on September 2nd.
