Jayhawks Aiming to Build Off Historic Season

The Kansas Jayhawks played during bowl season for the first time in over a decade last year, and they aim to build on a program-changing season.

A major reason for the excitement of Kansas football from both fans and the media alike is star quarterback Jalon Daniels. Daniels was one of the conference's best players last season, and was recently named the 2023 Preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

Jayhawks Coach Lance Leipold says Daniels is just as impressive off the field.

The six wins that KU ended the season with was the most by the program since the 2008 season. Leipold says the reason for the turnaround is being able to instill trust and routine within the program.

Kansas will open the 2023 season against Missouri State on September 1st.
