The 2023 ESPY Awards took place earlier this week in Los Angeles, and the Kansas City Chiefs were the stars of the show.

 

The Chiefs won the award for Best Team, edging out the NBA Champion Denver Nuggets and the NCAA Basketball Champion UConn Huskies and LSU Tigers.

 

Star tight end Travis Kelce was one of the team representatives at the awards, and says he has learned countless life lessons from being a professional athlete.

 

Defensive Player of the Year finalist Chris Jones also spoke, saying that he was placed into the perfect situation by being drafted to Kansas City.

 

MVP Quarterback Patrick Mahomes also collected new hardware, winning the ESPY for Best NFL Player, Best Male Athlete, and Best Athlete. He says Chiefs Kingdom has the best fans in the world.

 

The Chiefs report to training camp next week.
