Chiefs Still in Contact with DeAndre Hopkins

There are three NFL teams considered front runners for All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and the Kansas City Chiefs remain one of the favorites to land the star.

Hopkins is 31 years old and has spent 10 years in the NFL, making five Pro Bowls and three All-Pro teams, while being considered one of the top receivers in the world.

NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler says that the Chiefs have continued to have contact with Hopkins, and could end up landing him.

The main obstacle for Kansas City is the salary cap, with the team currently having the least amont of current cap space in the league. In order for the Chiefs to free up money, they are having extension talks with defensive tackle Chris Jones, however those negotiations could linger into August.

Hopkins has also visited with the Patriots, Titans, and Texans during the offseason. The Patriots and Titans are considered the favorites to land the former first round pick.
