Five Former Wildcats Playing in NBA Summer League

There will be familiar faces in the Summer League, with five former Kansas State Wildcats on rosters.

Keyontae Johnson was drafted in the second round of the draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, and made his professional debut earlier this week in Salt Lake City.

Markquis Nowell signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors following the draft and will make his professional debut on Friday evening in Las Vegas against the Chicago Bulls.

Other KSU alumni in the 2023 Summer League are Barry Brown Jr, Mark Smith, and Xavier Sneed. Sneed ended last season on the Charlotte Hornets roster after signing a two-way contract.

Both Brown Jr and Smith are returning state side after impressive seasons overseas.
