One of the potential stadium sites for a new Kansas City Royals stadium had a building demolished eariler this week.
The site of the AMF Bowling Alley between Highway 9 and Interstate 35 was demolished on Wednesday, opening the space for a potential MLB stadium.
County leaders confirmed in March that the site is one of five areas the team is considering to relocate a new ballpark. Earlier this spring, crews also demolished structures in the East Village, which is another potential spot for the Royals.
The Royals currently have not made a decision about where they'll put the new stadium, and the organization has no involvement in the demolition.
