A hot start has pushed the Coffeyville Red Raven women's basketball team into the NJCAA Top 25.

 

Coffeyville came in at #25 in the latest NJCAA poll, published Monday. The Ravens defeated Bethany JV and Connors State last week, both by double-digits. The 6-0 start also saw Coffeyville earn a win over then-ranked Eastern Oklahoma.

 

Meanwhile, the Coffeyville men fell out of the rankings after a 3-game losing skid, but are still receiving votes. Two of the Ravens' three losses have come NEO A&M, a ranked opponent. Southern Arkansas University Tech, the only other opponent to have bested the men this season, also defeated Independence last weekend.

 

Conference play starts this week, as the Ravens travel to Cowley on Wednesday and then Garden City on Saturday. All of this week's games can be heard on US98.1, KUSN.
