The Caney Valley Bullpups take to the road for the final time in the regular season to take on the winless Baxter Springs Lions.

 

Caney Valley (5-1) won a wild 50-34 match-up against Parsons last week that saw running back Baylor Thornton run for nearly 150 yards and 4 touchdowns. Brec Williams filled in for the injured Tanner Rose at running back with 82 yards rushing and a touchdown and pulled down two interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.

 

Baxter Springs (0-4) has struggled this season and has been outscored 146-32 on the season and look to notch their first win.

 

The Bullpups could potentially clinch a playoff spot with a win this weekend and losses by Parsons and Cherryvale. In last year's match-up, Caney Valley rolled to a 43-0 victory last year that went to a running clock in the second half of the game.
