The West Elk Patriots are back on the right track after a loss to open up district play. After Week 4's defeat against Sedan, the Patriots defeated Marmaton Valley 58-6 last Friday, giving the team some forward momentum as they play host to Cedar Vale-Dexter. Head coach Chris Haag said staying focused and preparing well gave the team an advantage heading into the battle against the Wildcats.

 

Cedar Vale-Dexter will almost certainly give the Patriots a tough test. The Spartans offense has scored more than 70 points in each of its last two games, leading to big victories over Marmaton Valley and Yates Center. Despite that, Haag feels his team has a good chance to take home its second straight victory.

 

Friday's matchup between West Elk and Cedar Vale-Dexter will be our Game of the Week and will be broadcast live on 690AM, KGGF. Pregame will start at 6:50 p.m, with kickoff to follow at 7.
