Murray Receives NJCAA All-American Honors

For the third straight season, Coffeyville Community College has placed a player on an NJCAA All-American Team. This time around, it was sophomore forward Meikkel Murray receiving the honor, being named to the NJCAA Second Team All-American squad.

Murray averaged 16.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season for the Red Ravens, and recorded an incredible 1091 minutes on the floor. That total is good for the fifth-highest among all players in the NJCAA.

Murray has received several awards this season, including the 2020 KJCCC Player of the Year and the 2020 Region VI Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

The other two All-American Red Ravens in the last two years were Tevin Brewer and TJ Washington. The Red Ravens last earned the 15-seed in the NJCAA Men's Division I Basketball tournament before it was canceled.
