The Big 12 announced earlier today that they have canceled the Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament. Hours later the University of Kansas has announced that they have canceled all athletic travel indefinitely due to concerns regarding COVID-19. Athletic Director Jeff Long, in a statement released on KU Athletics Twitter account, says the highest priority at KU is to ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes, coaches and staff.

KU joins Duke in canceling their athletics travel. The KU men's basketball team was likely going to be the number 1 overall seed in NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, which the NCAA has now cancelled.  KU will finish as the number 1 team in men's college basketball.
