It was a close contest, but for the second straight season Sedan has seen its year come to its end at the hands of Argonia-Attica following a 38-32 contest on Halloween night.
The Blue Devils struck first and at one point led 16-14, but several turnovers proved costly, including a late first-half interception that allowed the Titans to put themselves up by 10 points heading into the locker room at the half.
The two-score lead would be maintained throughout most of the second-half, with Sedan playing catch-up while the Argonia-Attica backfield ran wild. A hail mary from Tayte Halderman to Dameion Hatten and subsquent pitch to Eli Campbell would put the Blue Devils within 6 with just a minute to play, but the Titans would field the ensuing onside kick, allowing themselves to take a knee and secure the victory.
The Blue Devils end their 2019 campaign at 5-4. Argonia-Attica improves to 5-4 and will take on South Central-Coldwater in a rematch of the last week of the regular season. The Timberwolves won that contest 17-0, and defeated West Elk 47-0 in the first round of the playoffs.
