Red Ravens drop the first game of the season to Iowa Western last night 36-14. Coffeyville was the first to get on the board scoring a touchdown on a 41 yard pass from Aubrey Williams to Isiah Taylor. Unfortunately some turnovers and missed field goals kept CCC from extending that lead in the first half and Iowa Western would tie it up at 7 before half time. The Reivers would seize control of the game in the third quarter scoring 16 points and putting the game out of reach. Statistically both teams were pretty even except in rushing, the Red Ravens had only 47 yards rushing on 50 carries.

Ravens look to get in the win column next week as they return to Veteran Memorial Stadium for the home opener against Fort Scott.
