With the first round of MLB All Star voting done one Royal has advanced to the next round. The top three vote getters at each position have advanced to the next round to see who will be the All Star game starter. Royals third basemen Hunter Dozier is competing against Astros Alex Bregman and Yankees Gio Urshela. Dozier currently ranks first among AL third baseman in AVG, OBP, SLG and OPS.
In other Royals news the team has designated struggling reliever Brad Boxberger for assignment and optioned Eric Skoglund to Triple A after return from his PED suspension.
