CCC is set to hold this year's "Quack Clash" on Saturday, June 8th, at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The event is a fundraiser for Coffeyville Community College Athletics and will run from 6 p.m. to about 10 that evening. C.C.C's Yvonne Hull mentioned the time change was one of the few changes they made to the event but overall it will be similar to last year.
Potential competitors may purchase an amount of ducks under their name to race on a water course. There are a limited number of ducks available, but Hull stressed entries are still being accepted at this time. The winner will receive $1500, with cash prizes also going to 2nd through 6th place. All money raised during the event will go to college scholarships and various community organizations.
The winner of the event does not have to be present to receive prizes, and the event is open to non-competitors. There will be live music, food, and games as well. For more information, click here.
