Coffeyville Community College basketball continued its 2018 season last night as both the men's and women's teams traveled to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College for a tough road game. The lady's got he games started first, having struggled with finding open shots and separation through the first few games the Ladies improved greatly. Finally passing a bit better and finding open shots, the issue they struggle shooting from the floor. Missing many open shots and once again committing inexperienced turnovers and mistakes. N.E.O Lady Norse beat C.C.C. 59 to 30 moving the Lady Red Ravens to 0 and 5 on the year. The men also got beat to the Golden Norseman, thought there loss came on a heartbreak. Red Ravens struggled against that 2-3 zone N.E.O runs so well last week and again ran into issues. Struggling to find open shots at certain points in the game, committing to many fouls as N.E.O knocked down important free throws. Casey Benton knocked the most important free throws in the game to tie ity at 55 with 14 seconds left. Would not matter as Ravel Moody traveled down the court and hit a 3 point shot as time expired to won the game fort N.E.O. Red Ravens lose their first game in the year 58 to 55 on the road on Miami and fall to 4 and 1. They travel to Ark City to play in the Cowley Classic both Friday and Saturday. We will have both those games on 98.1 KUSN.
