Red Ravens Basketabll Back At Home Tonight

Both the women's and men's basketball teams for the Red Ravens back in action tonight. Red Ravens will be hosting foes from across the border with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Norsemen. We’ll start with the ladies first as Coffeyville coming off a rough opening loss at home last Thursday against Redlands Community College and then on the road against Connors State. The lady Red Ravens played well on defense but struggled to find any success on offense losing those battle remaining winless on the year. Hoping to find a spark in the offense, the return tonight tipping off at 5:30 from Nellis Hall here in Coffeyville against N.E.O. Shortly after the Lady Red Ravens wrap up it will be time for the men's game who also will play the Norsemen from N.E.O. Though the men coming in unbeaten on the year. Winning both of their games within the Community State Bank classic last week. They remain in the top 5 in the nation and will have a very tough test tonight. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M comes in losing a tough battle last week against Hutch so they currently sit at 2 and 1 but can’t be overlooked. This is a team that enjoys beating Coffeyville whenever they have the chance and will love to on our home court. Speaking with head coach Jay Herkelman he says his guys are poised and ready for a tough week of basketball. Horsemen tonight then against Indian Hills this weekend. Herkelman saying if his guys can avoid foul trouble and play to their strengths there isn’t to many teams that can compete with Coffeyville. Again the men's game will begin shortly after the women's wrap up and will be broadcasted on 98.1 KUSN FM, Sam Speck will be on the call from Nellis Hall tip off around 7:00 PM.
