League Rival Chanute Comes to Town

With just 2 games left in the regular season for Kansas High School football, the Golden Tornado are coming off what might be the hardest loss of the season. Trailing Abilene 30-25 with over a minute left the Nado were marching and looking to take the lead but a fumble would bring the game to an end and the Cowboys would come out victorious 30-25. FKHS is now 2-4 and will face league rival Chanute who is 4-2. Head Coach Darrin Wegner says when it comes to Chanute's defense they have to watch out for Qualin Powell. It's the last home game of the regular season and will be senior night for what is a very senior lead team. Coach Wegner is hoping they come out with the win and move one step closer to finishing the season at .500.

Kick off is at 7:00 with pregame at 6:40 on Star 98.9 KQQF.
