Ravens went on the road to Highland Community College this past Saturday to play the Scotties. From the opening kick it seemed Highland had complete control of the game as the Scotties offense was the only of the two to create any production offensively. Wasn’t until the third quarter that the Ravens got their spark and it came from the special teams unit. Creating havoc against the punt crew of Highland and eventually blocking multiple punts and a couple of them being recovered in the end zone. Again the defense saves the day as the take the leads going into the 4th quarter were the Highland Scotties tied things up and won in overtime 41 to 38. The Red Ravens without Carson Proctor here in week 5, they started Reese Shaw as again he struggled to create any spark in the offense. Coffeyville even trying out the Red shirt from B.Y.U. Kody Wilstead as he finished on the day 4 of 6 for 33 yards and 2 INT’s. Red Ravens as a team throw 6 interceptions against Highland and now have a Bye week upcoming this next Saturday before they prepare for Dodge City on the first Saturday in October.
