Authorities in Cherokee County arrest a Scammon woman for possessing methamphetamine.

 Just after 10am yesterday morning, investigators from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office conducted a search of a home in Scammon.

After finding narcotics in the house, deputies arrested 43 year old Stacy Benedict. Benedict was taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail. She faces charges of Possessing Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possessing Methamphetamine, and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.
