The Little House on the Prairie Museum located just southwest of Independence will celebrate the 50th Anniversary cast reunion of the Little House TV show at the end of May.
Nearly a dozen actors from the television show that ran for nine seasons starting in 1974 will be on hand for the celebration. A meet-and-greet will be held Friday through Sunday on May 31st through June 2nd at the Little House Historical Site. Site Director Rhonda Steven says the cast members will complement the historical significance of the site.
Later this summer, there will also be a celebration for the 154th birthday of Carrie Ingalls on August 3rd.
The Little House Museum is also participating in the SEK Museum Alliance for those who want to explore small town history across the area. The Little House site is open seven days a week. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
