The upgrades to the municipal parking lot in Independence nears completion.

 Work on the parking lot that is located just north of City Hall began in March. City Engineer John Garris says construction is on track to finish on time.

The purpose of the construction is to improve parking space size, to add more A-D-A accessible space, and to install improved lighting.
