OSBI Confirms Bodies Found Sunday Those of Missing Kansas Women

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirms that the two bodies found on Sunday are those of two missing Kansas women.

The O-S-B-I confirmed yesterday afternoon that the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner has positively identified two bodies found in rural Texas county on Sunday as 27 year old Veronica Butler and 39 year old Jilian Kelley of Hugoton. The pair disappeared on March 30th while they were traveling to Oklahoma to pick up Butler's children.

Four individuals were arrested on Saturday in connection to the alleged kidnapping and murder of the two women. One of those arrested is the grandmother of Butler's children. All four are members of a self-proclaimed anti-government group called “God's Misfits.”

Oklahoma attorney Garrett Oates, who represented Butler in her child custody battle, has indicated the crimes may be connected to the custody case.
