The Parsons Police Department is looking for leads in a robbery case.
On Friday at around 4:45am, Parsons Police officers responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at the Pete's located at 1430 Main Street. Upon arrival, officers were told a man, wearing a face mask, entered the store with a semi-automatic pistol. The clerk was unable to open the cash register so the suspect fired one shot into it.
The suspect stole the clerk's purse, lottery tickets and Marlboro Red and Newport cigarettes. These items were put into a white 13-gallon trash can carried by the suspect. The suspect fled the scene, with the trash can, heading south on South 15th Street. The suspect is described as a white man, around 5'7'' to 5'9'', with dark hair.
