Lansing Inmate Escapes

 

 **UPDATE**

 An escaped inmate is back in custody.

Lansing Correctional Facility Minimum-custody resident Bradley G. Verstraete has been apprehended.

Verstraete was taken into custody this morning by officials from the Lansing Police Department. He was arrested on the Kansas Department of Corrections escape warrant without incident.

Verstraete had been placed on escape status after he walked away from the minimum-security unit yesterday.

No other details are being released as the investigation is ongoing.

An inmate escapes from the Lansing Correctional Facility.

Authorities placed 54 year old Bradley Verstraete on escape status around 9pm last night after it was reported that he walked away from the prison facility.

Verstraete is a minimum-custody resident who was serving an 8 ½ year sentence for attempted 2nd degree murder and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer that occurred in 2017 in Pratt County.

Verstraete is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has Hazel eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jean jacket, blue jeans, and red hat. His hair was in a ponytail, and he had a goatee-style beard.
