The City of Howard receives a grant for playground equipment through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

 The City of Howard joins fifty other Kansas towns and school districts that will receive funding through the 2024 Waste Tire Grant Awards. The grant helps provide entities with improvements made from recycled tire.

The City of Howard plans to use the funding to install a new climbing structure and two benches at West Park.
