The skeletal remains found in Lansing back in February have been identified.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Lansing Police Department have identified the human skeletal remains found on February 18th, in a wooded area in Lansing.
The deceased man has been identified as Derrick U. Collins. He was reported missing from Leavenworth in June 2022 when he was 59. No trauma was noted during the autopsy. At this time there is no evidence of foul play in Collins’ death. Final autopsy results are pending.
