A Bartlesville man faces charges of larceny and eluding police following the alleged theft of a firearm.
48 year old Ira Allen was arrested Sunday after his family reported he had stolen a firearm from their apartment. An affidavit states that when police attempted to make contact with him, he fled. He is accused of speeding past several pedestrians in a retail parking lot and disregarding their safety.
Allen has been charged with eluding a police officer after former felony conviction, possessing a firearm after former felony conviction, and petit larceny. He is also charged with a parole violation from a previous case. His total bond was set at $40,000.
