Coffeyville Residents to Receive Lead Line Survey

Residents of Coffeyville will receive a lead line survey in their next water bill.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced changes to drinking water regulations requiring water supply systems to identify all materials used in the construction of the systems. The goal of these regulations is to reduce the public's exposure to lead. Accordingly, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment is requiring that all public water systems complete an inventory of the water distribution system. This includes the public distribution lines and private service lines. The City is collecting information about the privately-owned section of the service line by conducting this customer survey.

The City asks that the surveys be completed by June 30.

Completed paper surveys can be mailed to PO Box 1629, Coffeyville, KS or brought to the City Clerk’s office at 102 W. 7th. The survey is also available online at this link.
