An Independence home is deemed unlivable after a house fire.
Independence Fire-EMS responded to a reported structure fire at 1512 North 10th Street at 7:20pm Friday. Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke and fire coming from the back of the home.
IFD was able to extinguish the fire, but says the trailer home sustained enough damage to make it uninhabitable. Occupants of the trailer were able to safely evacuate without injury. Fire-EMS crews cleared the scene at 8:15pm.
