The Montgomery County Health Department obtains approval to secure temporary insurance for eligible residents.

 Health Department Director Brandee Kirk says the move would help those without insurance to be temporarily covered for medical procedures through Kansas Medicaid. Kirk says the move will be of no cost to the county.

Kirk adds that there are income requirements to qualify for the program. Those who think they may qualify can contact the Montgomery County Health Department.
