The Kansas Senate continues its work on a new tax plan.

 Senator Virgil Peck says a lot of what's in the new version of the bill are things Republicans have been working on for some time.

Peck says the biggest change in the plan is that it would leave the top income tax rate of 5.7% in place while eliminating the bottom two rates.

An earlier version of the tax bill was vetoed by Governor Laura Kelly.
